I made this as a prop for a photo shoot in about 3 hours, back about 3 months ago.

And one day when I wasn't feeling so hot about life in general, I threw it at a wall. But I realized that was pretty dumb, so I found the broken piece and I'm fixing it now. I might give it away to a certain someone once it's 'healed'.

Moral of the story: don't keep symbolic objects out in plain view. You never know when you'll have the urge to chuck it at something.

I love the human body. It's amazing, really.

Eee, this looks neat, Lina. :D
We're learning about the human body in science this year, and I think the cardio-vascular system is up next.
Kinda weirds me out at times, but it's still interesting. xD

By the way, sorry for the double-comment thingy. I didn't wanna squish this into a reply to another comment. x3 :hug:

Sculpey surrounding a tinfoil base, painted first with gesso and then with acrylics. Lots of references used... the heart is a lot more complicated than it would seem at first!

That's okay ^^ I'm taking human anatomy next year, and we get to go to a cadaver lab and look at dead bodies :D Gonna be fun. But yes! I think that the human body is super interesting, tons of fun to learn about/draw/paint/sculpt/etc.

Ooohh it's beautiful! When I saw the thumbnail I thought "...why is Lin taking photos of things from her biology department? o.o" but then I read the description was was like "...wait, she made this?!" It's very impressive, really realistic : D The colours are perfect, I love the dappeldy effect at the bottom.

Haha, fixing your broken heart is just too corny to be true, and the sad thing is you're being literal when you say it xDDDD
